Here are a couple of fun facts to share with your friends and family while you are sitting around the pool this summer.

 Swimmer’s Hair is Not Caused by Chlorine. You may have heard of this happening to a friend or have been shocked when it happened to you. A few dips in the pool and your light blonde hair turned green! Chlorine usually takes the rap for this condition, but it is not the culprit. Jared Benson, Laguna Niguel swimming pool service expert, explains that it is the dissolved metals in the water that are to blame. Higher SPF is Not Better.  If SPF 30 is good, SPF 60 must be twice as good, right? Turns out that SPF 50 may not be giving you all the extra protection you think you are getting. The FDA has long considered that SPF 50+ is highly misleading and is looking at rules similar to those in Australia which prohibit the label of anything higher than SPF 30.
