Toss a couple of used (or new) tennis balls into the pool by the skimmer.  The fibers on the exterior of the ball will absorb these oils without shedding fibers.

Automatic Pool Cleaners

Pool sweeps or automatic pool cleaners can cut down on the amount of vacuuming you must do, but it won’t eliminate the vacuuming chore altogether.  Some models work off the suction created by your pool pump.  This type of automatic pool cleaner only operates when your pump is operating.  Robotic systems are self-contained and have their own filtration and pumping systems.  Automatic pool cleaners remove debris but they will not monitor or adjust the water chemistry.  This still needs to be done by a person.
